2007 CONFERENCE

Our 2007 conference was a huge success. It was held at the Premier Conference Centre at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg on Friday 26 October 2007, where delegates flew in from all over South Africa.

Some of the highlights included:

Anne Dreyer, our founder and President announced the collaboration with APIICA (Asia Pacific International Image Consultants Association). She recently spoke at their annual convention in Singapore and shared her wonderful experience with the delegates.
Chris Boberg (now officially the new APICSA webmaster) gave the delegates a talk on IT and various applications specifically for the image industry.
Jade Corporate Clothing entertained with a superb fashion show of their latest range and spoilt delegates with a 25% discount voucher.
Valentine of Kryolan gave an overview of the Kryolan range with product display.
The first APICSA board was elected: Haydee Antezana as Vice President; Ronel Jacobs was given the membership portfolio, Marina Prinsloo is now the feature writer for the APICSA newsletter with Dr. Tsholo Makokwe as newsletter editor. Doris Msibi is the media liason officer and Alet Visser is treasurer.
Doris Msibi shared her experience as a beauty pageant queen and her leap into the image industry.
Haydee Antezana wrapped up the conference with a motivating and empowering presentation on the image industry and beyond.

2008 CONFERENCE

The date for the 2008 APICSA conference has been set. Please diarise Friday 24 October 2008. The conference will be held at the Premier Conference Centre at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

We are currently looking for sponsorship and accepting proposals for presentations. Further details will be broadcast as they become available.

EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS

Members will soon have the option of completing external examinations for a further qualification in image. Patrick Liew and Joshua Luke of APIICA have been appointed as external examiners for APICSA. More information on these examinations will be distributed to members in the New Year.

Honorary APICSA memberships have been awarded as follows:
